Love Typography – Think About Fonts
Online font resources – I do love typography – it indeed has a long and illustrious history all the way back to the styles chosen by those who first began to write.
In the online world everyone seems to want to use Arial & only Ariel, There are other options; a nice subtle font goes a long way to make your website unique & unforgettable.
There are so many font resources available online – here are a few of my favourites:
Wireframing – Where There Is Beauty & Function / There Needs A Plan
Wireframing – if done inefficiently, it can end up costing more time and can even create bigger headaches for both the client and the designer.
Wireframing is an important step in any screen design process. It primarily allows you to define the information hierarchy of your design, making it easier for you to plan the layout according to how you want your user to process the information. If you’ve yet to use wireframing, it’s time to get started. Inspiration here
It’s like an architectural blueprint; you need to see it in two-dimensional black and white diagrams before you understand how to build the actual house. Similarly for a screen design, you can’t start building pixel layers in photoshop, or writing blocks of code, without knowing where the information is going to go.
At a deeper level, a wireframe is also very useful in determining how the user interacts with the interface. For example, wireframes can contain various states of button or menu behaviors.

Social Networking + Done Cleverly = Free Promotion
There are so many networking sites now it is difficult to mention them all, I have mentioned my 4 favourites – Facebook I love you & I hate you – so many hours have been lost to reading about what other people are having for dinner (do I need to know) but without doubt I have met & gained new friends & contacts all over the word through you.
Twitter also something I have used for a long time – Instagram & Pinterest are new kids on the block (Instagram has already overtaken Twitter as the No. 2) – although new on the scene they each offer something different & valuable for artists wishing to promote work or companies selling ideas.
My personal favourite of the moment is LinkedIn – Quiet – Not full of advertising – Professionally minded – picking up valuable business contacts within relevant groups & news is all possible.
